Enchanting East

One thing I miss after moving from the East Coast is the seasons, especially the fall colors. I have made it a point to go back to the East every fall to see colors. Different shades of green, yellow, orange, brown, purple, and red always takes my breath away everytime I see it. This time was no different. My itinerary included D.C>> Boston>> Niagara Falls>> Toronto>> Ottawa>> Montreal>> Quebec city. Yes, this was definitely a true experience of the east. What captured my heart this time from each city? Here is the list –

1. The beautiful view of the monument, and the lake in Washington, DC from Lincoln Memorial

2. Walking/running in the rain as you wonder around the red cobblestone of Beacon Hill or Boston Common in Boston, MA

3. Definitely, getting drenched at the Hurricane Harbor as you wear the ugly yellow jackets to go to one of attractions called Cave of the Wind at Niagara Falls, NY

4. Walking and eating Paan at Gerard Street (Indian Town) in Toronto, ON

5. The beautiful canal at the Parliament Hill in Ottawa, ON

6. Jaw dropping interior of Notre-Dame Basillica in Old Montreal, QC

7. Old Quebec City in Quebec City, QC that reminded me of small European cities

Ofcourse the drive from Toronto to Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City was gorgeous too as I was able to take in all the colors through the windows. Fall is definitely a perfect time to visit the east. Something about these colors keeps making me go back there every year. I love love the Fall.
