Wow, can’t believe it has been almost a year since I last blogged. My last blog was of the Fall and the Fall has again knocked on the door here in Vancouver. I hope to continue with my blogging again. Many things have happened over this past year. One major highlight is that I am an aunt again for one more neice and nephew. Not sure if I should be excited about seeing two new innoncent faces or realizing that I am getting old. Either way, I am happy for their parents.
Most of my family members were here in Vancouver and that brought numerous road trips. One major road trip I took with my parents was to Jasper and Banff National Park. I must say anyone who comes to Canada should go there. Everything I saw made me feel renew and refresh. I can’t even decide which was my favourite as I enjoyed everything I saw from seeing the bear on the street to having our lunch at the top of the rock next to Lake Moraine. Here are my thoughts on some of my trip highlights:
Jasper Town: Cute little valley.
Maligne canyon: The sound is very soothing and can’t forget seeing a bear on our way there.
Maligne Lake, Medicine Lake, Lake Annette and Lake Edith: Loved all of these lakes. Especially, having lunch around Maligne Lake and taking a stroll around Lake Edith.
Attabasca Falls: Loved Niagra but this was something different
Icefield Parkway: Must drive. So many places to stop
Colombia Icefields: We did not take the bus tour but hiked up to the base. It was such an amazing experience. Must do if you are going there
Johnston Canyon: Loved the hike
Peyto Lake: Oh my, the colour!
Lake Moraine: It was quite an adventure climbing those rocks to get to the top and realizing that there is a small train at the back :/. Either way, eatin lunch at the top was priceless
Bow Glacier: What a view. Reminded me of being somewhere far far away in a fairy land
Lake Louise: It is beautiful. The colour, the scenary, and the walk.
Banff City: Love the city area
